Race Data Championship

Round 5 and the final meeting of the indoor series was held by Batley Buggy Club.

The event was held at Batley Sports Centre.

Batley is always seems to be a popular place to race. On the day there were 10 heats in total with 7 of them going to 2wd. The track layout was good but the floor seemed to be very slippy with many people struggling to find some consistent grip. 2wd struggling more then 4wd.

Once again Richard Lowe showed some very consistent driving and was quick, he managed to place his B4 in pole. He has been driving very well lately and has showed some good form so he deserved to take pole position for 2wd.

In 4wd Ben Riley came through to take best time in 3 of the 4 qualifying runs.

Both Adam and Ben did manage to put in Laps but this was in the last qualifying run.

In the finals Richard Lowe took the win once again which should see him nicely take the championship win in 2wd for the indoor season. Well done Richard lets see you repeat some good form at the indoor finals in York which will be coming soon.

In 4wd the fight for the championship is between Richard Harper and Ben Riley. With Ben Riley taking pole and Richard Harper being absent it looked convincing that Ben would take the win

There was a chance that if Ben didn’t finish that Tom Cockerill or Adam Skelding could take it, but Ben made sure he finished as he started and took the win along with the championship. Well done Ben.

That is the indoor regional series over for another year with only the Indoor Finals left at least it is being held at York. Let’s hope the North East take the win overall I’m sure we can do it.
